Snow

 This morning we woke up to this-----lots of snow.  It actually began snowing yesterday.  I just couldn't believe it.  Here it is the very end of April.  For goodness sakes, it's almost May and it's snowing.

                                                     This is my little porch this morning.

 Last night we went to the High Priest's Social in our new ward.  It was a lot of fun.  It was held at a lodge that the church owns called Mutual Dell.  It's located up in American Fork Canyon.  The drive up is really beautiful.  It actually looked like Christmas with all the snow.  I imagine it's really pretty in the fall with all the colorful leaves.  I'm looking forward to seeing it then.

 For dinner they served Raclette which was sooooo delicious. We grilled shrimp, chicken, mushrooms, asparagus, and onions and ate it with baked potatoes and melted cheese.  The cheese is melted on the little trays which fit under the grill.  You can see the handles of the trays sticking out from under the grill.  We ate this yummy dish in France and Belgium and it was so nice to have it again.

 After dinner there was a really fun talent show/ program.  We got to learn a little bit more about our ward members.

Our new ward has been very friendly.  Everyone has been so welcoming and we are certain that we will enjoy getting to know everyone and being members of this ward.  I have already been visited by the R. S. Presidency and by my visiting teachers.  I have already been called as a visiting teacher and have done my visits.  It has been great getting to know some of the sisters.  Each one of them has been so nice.  We have also been very impressed with the talks and the lessons.  They have been sooo good, so interesting, and so informative.  The teachers have given outstanding lessons.  I think I'm going to learn a lot living here.

Greg's B'day

 We celebrated my grandson's birthday a couple of weeks ago.  Well actually Greg is married to my granddaughter, but I call him my own grandson.  Anyway we had a nice dinner together to celebrate.

 The babies could hardly wait to play and dance.  In fact it seemed like it was their party, they had so much fun rocking out.  We had fun watching them dance.

 

 Poor little Tatum burned her 2 fingers the other day.  She grabbed a hot flat iron at the beauty shop before her Mom could even stop her.  Dani felt so bad.  To make things even worse, on Monday, that very same day, Greg was building some shelves in my food storage room and on the very last screw he drove the screw through his finger and fingernail.  It made me sick just thinking about it.  I feel soooooo bad for both of them.  They are both doing really well now, but I still feel sad that they got hurt.

Easter

  

 We had a wonderful Easter.  Of course the Atonement is the most important part of Easter and we had a very spiritually uplifting service at Church.  The talks were great and we felt the spirit so strongly.  I am so very grateful for the Savior and His atoning sacrifice for us.  I am so thankful for all the blessings that He has blessed me with.
We were lucky to have lots of family with us and so our table was laden with Easter goodies for everyone.

                                                  After church we had an egg hunt.

                            Tatum had a great time collecting eggs.  She already knew just what to do                     and it didn't take her much time to fill her basket.

 I'm quite sure that the adults and big kids had as good of a time as the little ones.  I'm so lucky to have such cute kids and grandkids and of course an adorable great granddaughter.  After the egg hunt, we ate a delicious dinner.  After dinner we had our Easter lesson which everyone enjoyed and then we just hung out, talked, played, etc.  What a happy day!

 Of course before the big day we had our egg decorating to do.  We had actually dyed eggs with Val and her family earlier in the week, but one can never have too many eggs. Right?

 I tried really hard to get a photo of this cutie's face, but as you can see, she was too busy moving around and dying eggs to even pause for a moment.

 She filled all the plastic eggs with candy, chocolates and yes even money and never even had a sample.

                                

          Our sweet Sara is visiting from Guyana where she is serving in the Peace Corps.  We absolutely loved spending some time with her.  Not only is she pretty and smart, but she is THE nicest girl ever.

                                         Jose took a "break" and put together a hamper for me.
